Who We Are

Luke Gagnon & Bob Doherty have over 50 years of combined residential construction and renovation experience. They have crossed paths in the past on a few different occasions as both builders and consultants and now enjoy working as partners at Home Work.

Luke has always had an eye for the highest level of attention to detail. He has a passion for building and design and loves collaborating with clients, designers and architects. Luke’s primary focus is on the client and what makes the most sense for the space. With over 23 years of experience in Brownstone Renovations, Bathroom & Kitchen renovations and Millwork & Finishes, his specialty is custom millwork design and fabrication.

In 2014 he founded Home Work Additions & Renovations, Inc

Bob was classically trained in the construction trade from the age of 15. He has worked with new and old structures from New Residential Multi-Unit Architectural Construction & High Rises as well as Historical Luxury Townhouse Restoration. As a Procurement Specialist for 8 years he worked on new buildings and renovation of existing buildings in New York, the Caribbean and Mexico (among other countries).  He is an accredited LEED GA and a NYC Licensed Special Rigger and has over 5 years experience in the Exterior Restoration business. Bob was a Founding Member of a Construction Management Firm in NYC which grew to over 100+ employees and had a $750M - $1.2B portfolio during the first 5 years.  His focus areas were: Estimating & Preconstruction Planning, Scope Writing, Negotiating, Bid & Contract Analysis, Contract Negotiation and Value Engineering.

 In 2020 Bob joined Home Work Additions & Renovations, Inc
